Embodied Dance Coaching
Coaching for confidence, connection, expression, and emotional growth through dance.
Dance is more than movement—it’s connection, confidence, expression, and vulnerability. Dance coaching helps dancers develop the mental and emotional skills that support growth both on and off the dance floor. Through an attachment- and nervous-system-informed approach, we’ll work on confidence, performance anxiety, self-trust, boundaries, partner connection, perfectionism, and navigating the emotional challenges that can come with dance. Whether you’re a social dancer, performer, or simply looking to feel more at home in your body, coaching can help you dance with greater freedom, confidence, and presence.
Dance Coaching
Dance coaching with me is not about perfecting your technique—it’s about understanding what happens inside you while you dance.
I use an embodied, relational approach that draws from my background in psychotherapy, attachment, nervous-system regulation, and somatic work. Together, we explore the mental and emotional patterns that can shape your experience on the dance floor: self-consciousness, perfectionism, fear of judgment, difficulty trusting yourself or a partner, trouble receiving or taking up space, performance anxiety, or feeling disconnected from your body.
Rather than simply thinking your way through these challenges, we work with the body, emotions, and nervous systemto create new experiences of safety, confidence, connection, and freedom.
The goal isn't to become a different dancer. It's to help you feel more fully yourself when you dance—more present, expressive, connected, and able to enjoy the experience.

Dance coaching and therapy can overlap in their use of embodiment, emotional awareness, and nervous-system regulation, but they have different purposes. Coaching is focused specifically on your goals and experiences as a dancer and on helping you develop greater confidence, connection, presence, and freedom in your dancing.
If deeper mental health concerns arise, therapy may be a more appropriate setting for addressing them.
-
Dance can bring up surprisingly deep emotions and relational patterns. If something arises that would be better addressed through psychotherapy, we'll talk about that together and determine what type of support is most appropriate.
-
Depending on your goals, we may use movement, dance-based exercises, visualization, body awareness, or reflection to explore what's happening for you while you dance. You don't need to prepare a routine or demonstrate your dancing.
